Overview
Main Purpose
The position holder is responsible for leading the governance process on capital budget spending for India BU starting with roll up of capital spend asks from various functions at the time of AOP, monthly review and monitoring of spends against plans and forecasting the FY spends working in close collaboration with India BU engineering team. The role is responsible for taking complete ownership of approval of projects which require sector and corporate approval by driving discussions on key deliverables through business reviews, financial model evaluations and high-quality business case summaries/ capex writeup.

- The role holder will develop financial models and capex proposals. The key tasks involved will be as following:
- Monthly India BU capex spend tracking and reporting to BU and Sector reconciled with HFM reporting tool.
- Conducting Capex spend monthly review with Sr Director Supply chain, Engineering director, plant team and other BU functions to update on spend status, highlighting risk and opportunity and action point on key projects to archive plan/LE.
- Liaison with business teams to understand business facts to translate business intent into financial models.
- Evaluation of proposed project returns vs expectation through capital budgeting techniques (IRR, NPV and Payback period) and driving productivity/P&L improvement initiatives with key stakeholder to achieve target return/IRR.
- Responsible for Capex approval process governance through Sector tool "BPM portal".
- Reporting of Capex to Sector along with COC analysis & related activities
- Play the role of managing the capex online portal including helping field teams on all problems related to upload and approval of proposals
- Contribute in AOP & Long-term planning activities by rolling capex from field and building depreciation with CoC analysis

Key Skills/Experience Required
Qualification
- CA with prior experience in Finance preferably in an FMCG sector with experience in Capex and planning
- 6-8 years of experience
Skills
- Subject matter knowledge related to capital budgeting concepts
- Expert level knowledge of MS Excel, MS Power-point, and Business case writing skills
- Highest level of collaboration skills with functional and cross functional teams
- Ability to work in ambiguous environment and driving the decisions with Senior Stakeholders
- Ownership in driving the capex agenda
