Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.
2. Coordinate, analyze and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required).
3. Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
4. Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms' performance.
5. Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting, employee relations (hiring/terminating policies) and other corporate policies.
6. Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
7. Responsible for all corporate and human resource activities including employee benefits, retirement plans, corporate insurance and related activities.
8. Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) certification strongly preferred.
3. Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the biotech or manufacturing industry.
4. Strong understanding of SOX compliance, 10qs, and 10k reporting.
5. Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
6. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
7. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations, and ability to stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software; proficiency in accounting software and databases.
11. Ability to manage multiple priorities, and prioritize and plan work activities efficiently to meet deadlines.
12. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
