This position offers a hybrid work environment, requiring one day per week in-office in West Houston

We are seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our dynamic leadership team and spearhead our financial strategies, governance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement a robust financial strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives
    Provide insightful financial guidance to the executive team and board of directors.
  • Capital Acquisition: Lead fundraising initiatives to secure capital for expansion through debt and equity raise activities
    Cultivate relationships with investors and financial institutions to drive the company's financial success.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process, leveraging advanced financial modeling techniques to drive informed decision-making
    Monitor financial performance and identify areas for optimization.
  • Tax Management and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations at the federal, state, and local levels
    Develop tax optimization strategies to minimize liabilities and maximize financial efficiency.
  • Corporate Governance: Collaborate with the General Counsel to ensure robust corporate governance practices, including the maintenance of accurate corporate records and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Internal Controls and Risk Management: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
    Identify and mitigate financial risks to protect the company's financial health.
  • Human Capital Management: Oversee human resources policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations
    Utilize industry-leading HR services to streamline processes and optimize employee management.
  • Initiate and Manage Financial Statement Audit: Coordinate the initiation and oversight of the financial statement audit process
    This involves developing and implementing formal policies and procedures for various accounting areas, such as capitalized development costs, business combinations, leases, contingent liabilities, and statement of cash flows (SOCF) procedures
    Work closely with audit firms to ensure adherence to capitalization rules and regulatory requirements throughout the audit process.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Proven track record of success as a CFO or in a similar financial leadership role within the technology sector, including experience as a Director of Finance.
  • Deep understanding of financial management principles, including debt and equity raise processes, tax regulations, revenue recognition standards, and internal controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to driving organizational success in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
    Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • CPA or MBA certification.
  • Experience with financial software such as QuickBooks, etc.
  • Familiarity with government contracts and compliance requirements.
  • Prior experience with Insperity or similar HR services.
