The Controller will oversee all financial activities of a non-profit, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and audits. This role is critical in ensuring the financial stability and integrity of the institution. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for education.

OVERVIEW OF THE CONTROLLER ROLE:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Coordinate and oversee annual audits.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
• Monitor and manage cash flow and financial planning.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to school leadership.
• Supervise and manage accounting staff.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE CONTROLLER:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
