Position Overview:

The Automotive Finance Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing the dealership's finance and insurance (F&I) department. This leadership position requires a strategic thinker with extensive knowledge of automotive financing, insurance products, and compliance regulations. The Finance Director will collaborate closely with the sales team to maximize profitability through effective F&I processes while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This is a full-time position on-site at our dealership in Edmond, OK.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the finance and insurance department.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve finance and insurance sales goals and objectives.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise finance managers and staff to ensure compliance with dealership policies and procedures.
  • Review and approve finance contracts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor lender relationships and negotiate competitive financing terms for customers.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, finance products, and compliance regulations to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with financing options and explaining contract terms and conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records of finance transactions and ensure proper documentation and filing.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction through effective F&I processes.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement improvement strategies to optimize departmental efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., AFIP) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive finance management, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong understanding of automotive financing, insurance products, and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in dealership management systems (DMS) and finance software.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
