The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and finance activities, and managing a 2-person team.

The Controller should have 5+ years of hands-on experience with month-end closing, financial reporting, budget/variance analysis, and financial forecasting among other functions.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all Accounting and Finance functions of the organization.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization.
• Monitor banking activities of the organization and ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs.
• Oversee the production of monthly reports, financial statements and cash flow projections for use by the executive management team.
• Participate in developing new business, identifying new funding opportunities, and developing financial plans.
• Ensure compliance with the local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with external auditors and manage the preparation and support of all external audits.
• Implement financial best practices and optimize financial processes to improve the overall financial health of the company.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• MBA or CPA is preferred.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
• Proven experience in month-end closing, financial reporting, budgeting, financial forecasting, and GAAP.
• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
• Experience in strategic planning and execution.
• Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and manage a team.
