Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, performing regular financial analysis using Microsoft Excel.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure all financial aspects of construction projects are managed effectively.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with all internal procedures and regulatory requirements related to financial management.
- Manage and reconcile all bank and credit card accounts.
- Provide financial advice and guidance to management, contributing to the strategic planning and decision-making process.
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Act as a point of contact for financial queries from both internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 2+ years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of construction industry accounting practices and regulations is a plus.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred but not required.
