We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Controller to join our team in the construction industry. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The Controller will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and expense allocation. This role plays a crucial part in the company's financial stability and growth, making it an exciting and rewarding opportunity for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all financial aspects of the company's construction projects, including project budgets, financial management, and financial reporting.
2. Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting strategies to ensure the company's financial goals are met.
3. Allocate expenses accurately and efficiently across various projects and departments.
4. Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and standards.
5. Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making processes.
6. Collaborate with project managers and other key stakeholders to provide financial guidance and support.
7. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations and standards.
8. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the company's financial operations.
9. Prepare and present financial reports to company executives and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably in the construction industry.
2. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
3. Strong knowledge of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, expense allocation, and account reconciliations.
4. Proven experience in managing project budgets and financial reporting in a construction or similar industry.
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound financial decisions.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
7. Proficient in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment, and adapt to changing priorities.
