Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and report on cost variances between actual and standard costs
- Conduct monthly and quarterly financial statement variance analysis
- Work closely with plant management to develop and maintain standard cost systems
- Ensure accurate and timely inventory accounting and reconciliation
- Develop and maintain product cost estimates
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Provide guidance and support to junior cost accountants
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in cost accounting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with financial statement variance analysis
- Knowledge of plant accounting and inventory accounting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
