This person will oversee the Accounting Department including reception, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial analyst.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-driven Permanent Financial Controller to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact on our manufacturing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. This position requires a person with a strong financial background and a proven track record of managing a company's financial operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
  • Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with CEO, COO and the leadership team.
  • Supervise the investment and raising of funds to meet ongoing operational requirements and future growth.
  • Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
  • Coordinate and manage company's annual budgeting and planning process.
  • Protect assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls.
  • Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Maintain knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and accounting standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data to a non-financial audience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with a large ERP system is a plus.
