Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve reporting
  • Develop and improve reporting systems

•Salesforce
•Business Intelligence
•ERP
•HR Database
  • Automate month end close
  • Automate month end reporting
  • Improve costing visibility and understanding
  • Improve manufacturing variance and PPV visibility and understanding
  • Develop and improve cost center and profit center reporting (DC vs CO for example)
  • Drive improvements and savings in:

•Overtime
•Overheads
•Labor efficiencies
•Production efficiencies
•Scrap and waste
•Purchase price variance
  • Work with Operations Management but also hold them accountable
  • Inventory Analysis and Control

•Reduce slow moving and obsolete inventory
•Keep inventory lean
•Drive inventory accuracy
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Support automation of business processes, not just in Finance but in all departments
  • Travel to other company sites from time to time

The Plant Controller position will also support systems development, improvement and support specifically for the following systems:
  • XA ERP
  • Ceridian payroll
  • Time and attendance
  • Salesforce
  • Factory and Production Data Collection and Controls
  • Power BI Reporting
  • Others as developed

The Plant Controller will also offer support in the following functions:
  • Map business processes and changes to processes based on best practice
  • Formulate project plan and budget (in conjunction with CFO)
  • Organize and co-ordinate workload and meetings between external partner and internal resource
  • Support CFO with the management and co-ordination of the project plan with external partner
  • Manage and monitor timings and project costs
  • Update on progress and budget
  • Manage formulation of business process documents
  • Document reporting requirements
  • Document master data requirements
  • Co-ordinate production of blueprint documents and SOWs in conjunction with CFO and external partner
  • Coordinate with other departments, including Sales, Production, Purchasing, Shipping, Customer Service and Technical.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
  • Accounting qualification
  • Experience in Accounting, Business Analyst or related business role
  • Systems implementation experience preferred but not essential
  • Detail orientated
