Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Controller to join our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in financial leadership. This role will oversee all aspects of our financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. You will also be tasked with ensuring compliance with GAAP and GASB standards. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key leadership role within our organization and contribute significantly to our financial strategy and success.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting variances, and preparing business activity reports.
3. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
4. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
5. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
6. Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.
7. Manage the preparation of payroll for personnel.
8. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
9. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
10. Support month-end and year-end close process.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
2. Proven working experience as a Controller or in a similar role.
3. 3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
4. Advanced knowledge of accounting and financial procedures, including GAAP/GASB standards.
5. In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation, and bookkeeping.
6. Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management.
7. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.
8. Proficiency in accounting software.
9. Solid analytical and decision-making skills.
10. Leadership abilities and experience in managing a financial team.
11. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
12. CPA or CMA certification is a strong preference.
13. Hospital/Healthcare experience is a HUGE plus, but not mandatory
