Job Summary

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for the financial strategy and operations of a Non-Profit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management within the non-profit sector, a strategic mindset, and a passion for our mission. This role offers a hybrid work environment, combining remote work with on-site presence as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the preparation, management, and monitoring of the annual budget.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the Board of Directors, donors, and other stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard the organization's assets.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team on strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Grant Management: Oversee the financial aspects of grant applications and reporting.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of senior financial management experience, preferably in a non-profit organization.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
