Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) College of Business, Department of Accounting, Finance, and Business Law invites applications for the Neal-Coonrod Endowed Chair in Accounting position with a rank of Professor within the College of Business starting in the spring 2020 semester. Nomination for tenure will be submitted upon arrival.
The holder of the Neal-Coonrod Endowed Chair position will be one of two endowed chairs in accounting in the College of Business. The review of candidates will focus on their research productivity, teaching effectiveness, involvement in university, college, and community service, and fit with the culture of our university, college, and department. Responsibilities include teaching in-class and online undergraduate and graduate courses, research and mentoring research, service to the profession, college, and university, and being an engaged leader and ambassador for the college. The College may develop a Ph.D. in Business Administration and the Neal-Coonrod Endowed Chair will be involved in developing and teaching in the proposed Ph.D. program.
The TAMU-CC College of Business offers the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Master of Accountancy (MAcc). The College of Business has approximately 2,450 students, with approximately 1,500 at the undergraduate level and 900 at the graduate level. The BBA and BBA in Accounting are offered on the Corpus Christi main campus, Texas A&M University System RELLIS Campus in Bryan, Texas and online. The Neal-Coonrod Chair will be located on the Corpus Christi campus and may involve online course delivery.
The TAMU-CC College of Business is accredited in both business and accounting by AACSB International. The College moved into the Michael and Karen O'Connor building, a state-of-the-art facility, in March 2011. Go to for more information on the position, the College and the University.

- A terminal degree (Ph.D. or DBA) in Accounting from an AACSB accredited institution.
- Demonstrated record of research and publication in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and excellence in teaching accounting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching doctoral seminars and service on dissertation committees.
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, etc.).
