About you and this role:

As an Accounting Specialist, your role within MGA Capital Planning and Asset Management (CPAM) will be located in Airoli, Navi Mumbai. Your role ensures accounting activity recorded within the company's records and books are accurate and complete. You will be responsible to provide work process expertise support to the fixed asset accounting process and will have active participation to ensure the work process supported by the team are consistent with the documented processes.

In this role, you are expected to provide informal guidance to new team members and be able to explain complex information to others. You are accountable to use technical experience, established practices, and personal judgement to analyze and resolve straightforward problems. Your performance impacts the quality of your own work and your team's work and requires that you work within established guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities:
  • Review existing process documents & SOPs to: Update and simplify processes, Standardize processes and documentation, Keep information updated on CPAM website.
  • Implement quality check measures for CPAM activities.
  • Explore automation opportunities and ensure timely implementation.
  • Act as a SPOC for updating and reviewing CPAM's RCM, SOX responsibilities and audit requests.
  • Review and update Accounting Manual
  • Demonstrates technical accounting ability to analyze and resolve issues impacting fixed assets.
  • Proactively collaborates with stakeholders to simplify process/address any process gaps.
  • Update/design training materials and educates to Stakeholders on various processes and policies.
  • Address knowledge gap within team.
  • Asset Verification: Perform data analytics over fixed asset register to identify inconsistencies, Address any gaps/enhancements, Overview annual verification process.
  • Oversight over Asset Maintenance Reporting Team
  • SPOC for Global projects

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Commerce
  • Chartered Accountant or US CPA (preferred).
  • Core Fixed Asset Accounting experience is must (minimum 6 years)
  • Strong SAP experience in Fixed Asset Module (2-3 years)
  • Systems and or process training
  • Western multinational (2-3 years)

Preferred Skills:
  • Works within defined technical processes and procedures or methodologies and help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments.
  • Results driven. Highly motivated with strong aspirations to achieve and develop.
  • Highly proficient financial accountant following US GAAP and having process-oriented mindset.
  • Detailed and analytical thinker
  • Proficient in SAP finance - financial accounting module
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills
  • Highly collaborative. Able to work across levels & roles.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)

  • Relocation support is not aligned with this role.
