The Finance manager will be the key finance lead in a new and growing Mimecast office. They will be viewed by Corporate Senior Finance Leadership as its primary administrative representative in the region. They will also be required to coordinate with regional finance team based in the UK and external service providers, to help manage policies regarding capital requirements, treasury, taxation and local compliance issues along with scaling the finance function to support the growth of the entity.
What Youll Do:

  • Maintain, interpret and deliver timely and accurate financial data including periodic US GAAP management results.
  • Preparation of key monthly reporting deliverables including variance analysis and account reconciliations to uphold the integrity of financial records.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly cashflow forecasts as required by FP&A
  • Ensure and maintain consistency with global accounting policies and business processes, including the company s risk management and internal control processes.
  • Supervise the local statutory audit and local financial statement preparation and filing process with external service providers. Provide the necessary financial data to external service provider on a timely basis.
  • Form a working relationship with the entity executives and global/regional leadership teams.
  • Manage the entity s financial and accounting activities, liaising with Billing/Revenue, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, payroll team, as well as Sales operations, HR, Marketing, Legal, FP&A and work with management.
  • Manage regulatory reporting process, including communication with local government and tax authorities.
  • Own regional month, quarterly and year-end close processes including commissions accruals process (if applicable) and related payments for the region.
  • Participate / drive finance related projects when necessary, including training local teams in processes impacting finance.
  • Partner with external provider and internal tax team to ensure compliance.
What Youll Bring:

  • Experience in preparation and finalization of financial statements as per Schedule III.
  • Good knowledge of accounting standards Issued by ICAI.
  • Thorough knowledge of India local statutory compliances under Income tax act, GST, Companies Act & Employment laws such as PF, ESI, PT, LWF etc.
  • Excellent organisational skills, motivated and adept at multi-tasking and delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
  • Experience in the Fintech sector is desirable.
  • Proven working experience in a corporate office of a multinational corporation.
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels. Speak fluent English.
  • High integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance.
  • Advanced excel skills including pivot tables, vlookups etc.
  • Qualified accountant (CA from an audit background preferred).
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles ( Indian GAAP , US GAAP).
