Role Profile


This role is for working in Group Financial Planning & Analysis team on various financial aspects of LSEG's operations. The successful candidate will combine excellent commercial, communication and technical skills to provide financial insights to business partners and involve in reporting, planning, and forecasting.

This is a key role responsible for financial and operational support which drives informed business decision-making for Group Financial Planning and Analysis team and the wider organisation.

Role Responsibilities

The role will include but not limited to the following:

  • Provide commercial insight, analysis, and decision support to senior management
  • Involve and assist in Group annual budgeting process, including collaboration with cross functional teams and preparation of Board materials
  • Involve in Group strategic multi year planning process
  • Lead in developing / maintaining various financial models, perform financial analysis and provide key business insights to leaders thereby enabling effective decision making
  • Consolidating, analyzing and providing information to management through monthly global reporting packs and ad-hoc reporting decks
  • Drive system and process transformation across FP&A activities to optimise processes
  • Lead month end close activities at Group level / Central Cost Centres
  • Partner closely with the finance teams across the divisions/ functions and other teams across Finance (e.g IR, Treasury, IMO reporting, Auditors and Strategy) to prepare proactive insightful analysis that drives business action and outcomes
  • Work with Controllers to review to ensure that items that need to be booked are indeed accounted for properly
  • Acquire detailed understanding of business drivers
  • Analyze and interpret financial performance of various business divisions
  • Perform variuos ad hoc analysis including supporting key finance projects
  • Responsible for Forecasting, Annual Planning, Business Analysis and Performance Reporting, Strategic Business Planning processes
  • Ownership of the financial team operating system
  • Exceptional collaboration and strong networking across cross business teams
  • Being integral to the Finance team, promoting consistency and methodical approach.
  • Identify & implement opportunities to improve process quality and efficiency across
  • Lead and develop team resources including creation of robust back-ups

Key skills required to be successful in the role:

  • Analytical experience, with problem solving and decision making skills
  • Highly numerate with advanced excel / financial modelling and excellent analytical skills
  • Well organized with ability to multitask and prioritize activities

Experience required:
  • Qualified chartered accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) / Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with 7 to 12 years post qualified experience, which includes accounting and business activities (budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, strategy evaluation, analysis and insight)
  • Knowledge and understanding of ERPs and other financial systems
  • Excellent financial modelling, planning and analytical skills
  • Experienced working in a fast paced environment leading multiple priorities
  • Excellent use of Microsoft office packages, PowerPoint, Excel/ Power BI/Query, Word and other BI tools with considerable hands on experience
  • Proficiency in working effectively and delivering results in a fast-paced, complex, cross-functional, dynamic global business environment
  • Strong understanding of external markets and experience working in a technology driven product environment with an understanding of product lifecycle management preferred
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues globally
  • Time-zone overlap with global partners and counterparts, as warranted
