Responsibilities

Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for joint venture projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Joint Venture Accounting: Manage the accounting process for joint venture entities, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations.

Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to assess the performance of joint ventures, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with joint venture partners to develop and monitor budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements related to joint ventures, including tax compliance and reporting.

Financial Controls: Implement and maintain financial controls and best practices to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.

Communication: Act as a liaison between the organization and joint venture partners, providing financial information, resolving issues, and fostering positive working relationships.

Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks associated with joint ventures and implement risk mitigation strategies.

Team Management: Supervise and guide finance and accounting staff involved in joint venture projects.

Auditing: Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits related to joint venture finances.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.

Several years of experience in finance and accounting, with a focus on joint ventures or partnership accounting.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.

Familiarity with financial analysis and reporting tools.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with joint venture partners.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.

Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.

Team leadership and management experience.
