Purpose of the Role
  • The role is required to deliver accurate and timely accounting for India non-Bank entity expense and revenue accounting and related analytics and reporting ensuring strong controls and compliance with all related GAAP, IFRS accounting guidance, policies and procedures.

Role Description
  • The incumbent will be accountable for accurate, efficient and timely accounting and reporting of for India non-Bank entity expense and revenue accounting ensuring strong controls and compliance and meeting related GAAP, IFRS accounting guidance, policies and procedures.
  • The role requires leading the team for sharp focus on the core delivery and consistently pursue improvement and innovation through process redesign and automation.
  • The incumbent will be required to provide on site leadership support and guidance to the team.
  • A focus of this role is to use the data and knowledge about Financials to create business insights for partners.

  • People leadership role with direct supervision of 3-4 colleagues.
  • Support Accounting and reporting for India non Bank entity expense and revenue accounting
  • Maintain and continually enhance strong Control and Compliance environment in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, AXP Finance Policy and protocols
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders viz, Segment and LE Controllership, LFO, Business and External and Internal Auditors, GREWE, Tax and GSM to deliver accurate and timely accounting and reporting.
  • Strong focus on generating higher effectiveness and efficiencies through automation, data interpretation for analytics and supporting enterprise projects.

Functional Skills/Capabilities
  • The incumbent will be required to have strong accounting (US GAAP, IFRS) & reconciliation knowledge, policy awareness & control mindset.
  • High proficiency in MS-Office applications, Oracle Applications, Essbase and TM1, and other AXP systems.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve queries with the ability to deal with large set of data, perform trend & variance analysis and creating meaningful insights.
  • Strong communication, relationship management & collaboration skills while closely working with various stakeholders across Controllership, Business Finance, Audit and Control groups.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with ability to work with limited supervision. Excellent verbal & written communication, presentation skills.
  • Lead team to deliver consistently high levels of performance for core responsibility, transformation and analytics.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvements.
  • Quick learner, an eye for detail, agile and ability to work during ambiguity.

Knowledge of Platforms
  • AXP Oracle GL, reporting, and business applications knowledge
  • Good knowledge of MS Office

Minimum Qualifications
  • The incumbent should be a qualified accountant (CA, ICWA) or MBA Finance with at least 5+ years of post-qualification experience or 6 to 10 years of post-qualification experience with B Com/ M Com / CA Intermediate.
  • Experience in performing accounting and related reporting in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS
  • Experience in working in a matrixed interconnected eco system designed for effectiveness in a collaborative setting.
