Job Objective: -

As the Finance Controller of a business, the key responsibility is to oversee financial operations and ensure fiscal integrity. The individual has to lead financial planning, budgeting, and reporting efforts, providing strategic insights for business decisions. By implementing robust financial controls and risk management practices, one can contribute to the financial stability and growth of the business.

Roles and Responsibilities: -

Strategy -
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize budgeting and forecasting processes, aligning with the business's growth objectives.
  • Establish and monitor financial controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, mitigate risks, and safeguard the financial integrity of the organization.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis, providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making and enhance overall financial performance.
  • Foster effective communication with stakeholders, including executives and department heads, to align financial goals with broader business objectives and ensure financial transparency.

Operations -
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard financial assets, prevent fraud, and ensure the integrity of financial transactions within the business.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to allocate resources effectively and achieve financial targets.
  • Streamline financial reporting procedures, producing timely and accurate financial statements, and providing insights to aid operational decision-making within the business.

Role Requirements -

  • MA/MBA/M.Com in finance, accounting, or related field
  • Certifications like CFA/ CPA
  • Proven experience in finance leadership roles

Skills and Competencies -
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting processes
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with audit processes and internal control mechanisms.
