We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the roleManager - Finance Operations

Principal Responsibilities
  • Preparation/Review of monthly, quarterly and annual B/S, P/L Schedules and consolidated final accounts as per IFRS
  • Analytical skills to perform variance analysis and other investigation
  • Produce and analyze ad hoc management information requests
  • Preparation and review of various pre and post close journals
  • Strong technical knowledge of Accounting and reporting principles.
  • Functional experience in accounting for all balance sheet / income statement heads
  • Collaborate extensively with the external auditors during preliminary and yearend audit processes
  • Ability to meet KPI timelines including under stringent time lines and high pressure situations, at the same time maintaining a high degree of accuracy
  • Good communication skills to be able to manage the In-country team on a daily basis.
  • Identify opportunities for process re-engineering / improvement and participate in change initiatives
Qualifications - External

  • Candidate should be a Chartered Accountant/Post graduate or MBA with post qualification experience of 5+ years in Finance and Accounting, or
  • B. Com /M Com/CA(inter)/CWA(inter): 8+ years of work experience
  • Prior experience in Financial Reporting and strong knowledgeIFRS
  • Good working knowledge of month end closure preferably in the Banking Sector
  • Good communication skills for ensuring smooth day to day interaction with In-Countryteams
  • Very strong Excel skills to interpret high data volume and facilitate automation
  • Good knowledge of HUB/REMIND/COGNOS/TREATS and other HSBC systems
  • Hands on experience with HUB, REMIND/COGNOS and other HSBC tools
  • Familiarity and experience with automation tools like Xceptor, Python, Qlikview etc
