About the role The Supply Chain Finance (SCF) Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing Supply Chain Finance (SCF) activities i.e., Standard Product costing, Actual costing, and Transfer pricing performed by the outsourced service provider and manage their performance. The GBS SCF Assistant Manager also partners with central, local finance and outsourced service provider for all the process changes and process improvement. The role also requires driving various process improvement initiatives working with process excellence team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for managing and reviewing the work of an outsourced service provider that performs the Supply Chain Finance activities.
  • Review and support Standard Product costing, Actual costing run and Transfer price calculation and update.
  • Perform Analytics on the Actual COGS booking (COGS Split Functionality in S4 HANA) in the P&L after the Material Ledger Run.
  • Participate in reviewing and analysing actual vs. standard cost variance reports and reports on financial results.
  • Support outsourced service provider in reviewing complex calculations relating to Production Order Settlement, Overheads, Activity Allocations, Material Ledger Run, Obsolete & Slow-Moving Inventory provisions.
  • Responsible for driving transition activities to the outsourced service provider, monitor progress and resolve roadblocks.
  • Responsible for driving training plan to the outsourced service provider and monitor progress.
  • Drive desktop procedure creation and assist in review and sign off.
  • Partner with central/local finance and outsourced service teams and assist in the loading of the annual operating budget plan, pushing plan into standard costing cycles and resolve issues.
  • Participate in new product planning meetings, production updates, and supply chain cost improvement projects.
  • Support the annual/periodic internal and external audit, review audit schedules, review audit findings and drive improvement projects.
  • Participate in various ERP testing cycles (SIT, UAT) for the work stream, assist in clearing roadblocks.
  • Support team lead in performance management of the outsourced service provider, KPIs review and feedback; review root cause analyses, and ensure solutions are documented.
  • Support workstream lead on various transformation and process improvement projects,
  • Support the process improvement initiatives driven by the outsourced service provider with review and feedback.


What are we looking for

Skills & Experiences
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting and cost accounting, including exposure to product costing, actual costing, material ledger and transfer pricing
  • Experience running supply chain finance operations (Product Costing, Actual Costing, Transfer Pricing) in SAP (S/4 HANA version) is required.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office package
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent Project management and organizational skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Transformation mindset: demonstrated ability to work with ambiguity, lead change, solve problems and improve processes.
  • Business Partnering Skills with customer focus.


Professional Qualification / Experience
  • CWA/CA/MBA equivalent qualification with 4-5 years of Finance experience in equivalent organization at least one other global organisation with similar industry
  • Strong Working knowledge in SAP (S/4 Hana version) in the CO Module.
  • Working experience in business operations
  • Experience of landing major projects
  • Working knowledge in running operations in SAP sub modules of Product Costing, Actual Costing, Material Ledger and Transfer Pricing
  • Knowledge of Forecasting Supply Chain Cost
  • Standard Costing & Actual Costing Experience in S4 Hana
