Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making.
Cost Accounting:
- Oversee cost accounting functions, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, and overhead.
- Conduct periodic reviews of cost structures and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process for the manufacturing division.
- Develop and maintain financial forecasts, including cash flow projections and capital expenditure plans.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
- Provide training and guidance on accounting principles, systems, and procedures.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
- Leverage technology and automation to streamline accounting processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives and improve overall business performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a manufacturing preferred
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
