Job Description
Maintain general accounting systems, policies, and procedures to ensure that proper information is reported in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Senior Accountant - Manufacturing is responsible for Spares Accounting, Audits and Management Reporting. He/She will support the Manager in managing compliance with USGAAP, Monthly Journals and Quarter end activities. Ability to work in a matrix organization and drive the requirement.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Ensuring quality and timely deliverables of Spares team- Perform Inventory Adjustment analysis- Ensure timely preparation of metrics pack monthly and quarterly.- Ensure timely preparation of roll-forward- Ensure timely preparation of Repair Reconciliation every month- Coordination with external stakeholders - Ensure 100% accuracy achieved on deliverables mentioned above and desired quality level achieved- Implement policy/process changes and Pro-actively communicate process exceptions & bottlenecks to Senior Management / Stakeholders, as required- Internal Audit/SOX Audit/US GAAP Audit/Statutory Audit and Tax AuditPreferred qualification: Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant IC2 - Minimum 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience (Excluding Articleship period in case of CA)
- Strong accounting fundamentals: Sound knowledge of accounting and reporting Standards (e.g., Ind AS/ US GAAP) and ability to assimilate, interpret and apply the standards/concepts in real life scenarios.2. Sound working knowledge of Standard Costing fundamentals, Supply Chain, and manufacturing accounting concepts.3. Good analytical skills and experience using MS Office4. Reasonably good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities
As a member of the finance division, you will assist in accounting functions which may include general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and inter-company transactions. Maintain the general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, analysis, reconciliation and reporting. Maintain and implement general accounting systems. Conduct account reconciliation periodically, ledger close activities, and provide accurate financial data to support management in decision making. Develop and prepare financial reports including profit and loss, income and balance sheet statements. Review and analyze inter-company transactions. Ensure all journal entries comply with internal and external audit specifications. Participate in the ongoing development and maintenance of internal procedures and processes. May participate in special projects.
