Position Type: Full-Time Professional

We're seeking an experienced Senior Controller to join our team and take the helm of our Accounting, Legal, IT, Risk Management, and Aviation divisions. As a Senior Controller, you'll be responsible for shaping the strategic direction and planning within these key divisions. This role plays a pivotal part in our company's leadership team and involves collaboration with our Real Estate and Capital Market teams to deliver insightful performance, reporting and will be responsible for leading a high performing team.

Key Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required (a master's degree is preferred).
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience is essential.
  • An active CPA license is highly desirable.
  • Profound knowledge of accounting and tax practices.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities:

In this senior management role, you'll work closely with company's owner and the Executive Leadership team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital, as well as maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity. You should have a track record of introducing new processes, enhancing efficiency, and fostering the growth of your team.

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of current accounting principles and tax rules and regulations.
  • Understanding appropriate internal controls necessary to ensure safety of all company assets and business entities.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products. Knowledge and experience in working in Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains preferred.
  • Ability to explain complex financial matters in a clear and understandable fashion.
  • Comprehensive financial planning experience to include budget reviews and financial planning and analysis.
  • Works effectively with minimal direction, self-starter.

Education & Training:
  • Bachelor's Degree (masters preferred) with a major in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Prior tax experience highly preferred
  • Active CPA license strongly preferred.
  • Prior Real Estate experience preferred.

Experience:
  • Minimum 7-10 years accounting and financial management experience; 5-7 years in a senior level position.
