Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) or other professional accounting accreditation.
- 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.
- Experience with intercompany and consolidation accounting.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with SAP or other large-scale ERP systems including data flow for consolidation, eliminations, and reporting.
- Knowledge of US GAAP for consolidations, investments, and structured transactions.
- Ability to have strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to have a collaborative style and work with cross-functional and international teams.
- Excellent problem solving, technical accounting, and project management skills.

You'll lead an accounting process. Other responsibilities include reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports.
- Manage close activities and present month-end results to management.
- Advise on financial reports required by government regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports.
- Identify opportunities to centralize, eliminate, or automate activities.
- Review processes and implement controls to ensure we are mitigating risk for Alphabet/Google.
- Manage, establish, implement global processes for the accounting of initiatives (ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance and operational excellence), and prepare for, and assist with internal, SOX, and external audits.
