Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and both short- and long-term financial planning.
Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring they are timely, precise, and accurate.
Prepare internal and external financial statements, ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices, including GAAP, FAR, and CAS.
Strategic Partnership:

Collaborate with Co-CEOs and management teams to measure and drive operational efficiencies and best practices.
Gather and interpret financial data, develop financial projections, and prepare key performance metrics and forecasts.
Prepare and present monthly financial status analyses to Co-CEOs, including variance explanations, anticipated issues, and strategic recommendations.
Performance and Policy Implementation:

Define and implement critical performance indicators and strategies.
Facilitate the measurement of objectives, report results to the executive team, and draft and implement policies and best practices to achieve objectives and standards.
Inventory and Operational Analysis:

Lead inventory forecasting, providing insights and analysis on inventory management and key buying patterns.
Work collaboratively with product development and management teams to create projections and budgets for new products and services.
Leadership and Team Development:

Provide strong leadership and mentorship to finance and logistics support teams.
Ensure the development of technical skills, effective performance management, work allocation, organizational structure, succession capabilities, and team morale.
Ensure high levels of performance and productivity within the finance and logistics organizations.
Financial Operations and Compliance:

Plan, direct, and coordinate all finance operations functions.
Work with external auditors, bankers, investors, and lenders for financial reporting and company performance assessment.
Ensure the optimal performance, setup, and usage of Netsuite.
Assess current finance operations, recommend improvements, and implement new processes.
Evaluate and improve accounting and internal control systems.
Develop and monitor business performance metrics.
Hire, train, and retain skilled finance staff.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of a BSc degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. At least 5 years of overall professional experience; ideally 3+ years of broad financial and operations management experience.
3. Experience of final responsibility for the quality and content of all financial data, reporting and audit coordination for either a division or significant program area.
4. A track record in grants management as it relates to compliance and reporting of government, corporate and foundation grants is essential.
5. Technology savvy with experience in managing and overseeing ERP Implementation, NetSuite CRM, and other financial-related software.
6. A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which support and enable sound decision making.
7. Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
8. A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment.
