Duties and responsibilities

Job Roles and Responsibilities
  • Billing and Invoicing
  • Monitor billing cycles and ensure timely delivery of invoices.
  • Manage Account Receivable tasks (Checking Signoff, Agreements, POs) and follow up with clients to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies.
  • GST & Compliance Management:
  • Manage end-to-end GST compliance processes, including registration, filing of returns, and reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with the finance and legal teams to ensure adherence to relevant monthly & yearly compliance standards.
  • Stay updated with changes in GST laws and regulations, ensuring the company's compliance.
  • Review prepared GST e-invoices prior upload and sign off.
  • STPI Liaison and Compliance Management:
  • Act as the primary point of contact with STPI (Software Technology Parks of India).
  • Handle STPI-related documentation, and submissions, and maintain monthly STPI register.
  • Coordinate with authorities to address compliance concerns and inquiries.
  • Financial Accounting:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee TDS payments and ensure correct computation and timely payments are made.
  • Maintain FIRC records/files
  • Monitor Transfer pricing invoices, and capture under correct codes
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts as required.
  • Maintain organized and updated documentation related to GST, taxation, and other compliance matters.
  • Ensure all financial records and documents are stored securely and are easily accessible for audits and reviews.
  • Assist the CFO office on financial related matters on adhoc matters.
  • Coordinate with CS/CA teams as necessary
  • Maintain company corporate documents (PAN, TAN, GST, etc.)
  • Maintain the company Directors DSCs
  • Track compliances as per RBI and Ministry of Corporate Affairs rules.
  • International Financial Transactions
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in GST compliance and financial management, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Participate in system upgrades or implementations related to accounting and taxation, providing expertise and guidance.

  • Bachelors/master's degree in accounting (i.e. B. Com / M. Com / ICWA or CA Part qualified)
  • Experience in service export services is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in billing-related control, ideally in a software or technology-related industry.
  • Familiarity with post-sales export invoice regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven work experience of at least 2 years in Finance, with specific expertise in GST compliance and STPI environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian taxation laws, along with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel is essential.
