FPNA team is a focal point in Maersk for management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, financial planning, performance management. deep dive analysis and finance related business support.

Financial Analysis Manager - ComEx will be part of a strong team continuing a transformation journey in the way we support the business. This role will work with commercial leadership for channels and verticals to optimize and develop the business. As a finance business partner, will be expected to quickly get to know the business and work across the HQ and regions . Also will need to identify risks and opportunities for the business, provide insights and recommendations and support stakeholders' decision-making processes.

This role must maintain and contribute towards an effective performance management framework through the MOS with the Commercial Teams and have a detailed understanding of the financial numbers as well as solid business knowledge. Through this the role must challenge and contribute to more data driven decisions within the Commercial teams.

In FPNA, this role will work together with a pool of highly skilled and talented people in an international environment, getting empowerment and great responsibilities as well as senior management exposure.

Key Responsibilities

Our FPNA team acts as the financial sparring partners to Commercial Stakeholders.
  • As Financial Business Partner you will provide analytical insight and improvement scenarios to Vertical /Channel teams on Customer profitability (on GP and EBIT Level) & Customer performance against Sales targets.
  • Other key tasks:
  • Provide analytical insight on Revenue to GP conversation on customer level based on monthly actual performance
  • Track performance against targets for assigned Verticals/Channels.
  • Support ComEx lead with detailed performance deck and drive actions
  • Provide financial data supporting the commercial and vertical strategy
  • Be the link between the Vertical /Channel heads and the Finance organization, as well as liaising with Regional FBPs
  • Partner to Vertical /Channel leads
  • Opportunity and pipeline management: Provide forward looking analysis on the Sales Pipeline and drive discussions on same
  • Define requirements and identify data needs Com Ex meetings

This role need to work with peers across Global FPNA teams, Commercial as well as Senior Management as a sparring partner. Role should support the decision-making process by providing value-added analysis, financial management information, deep dive analysis, performance management reporting and financial planning.

The financial analysis must be supported by efficient and clear communication to stakeholders and decision makers.

Required Experience & Skills
  • Financial Analysis Manager has a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics or is Chartered Accountant
  • The candidate has prior experience (minimum 8 years post qualification experience) within a business partnering environment, working as part of a business leadership team or in a consulting firm
  • Experience with Commercial / Global sales is a clear advantage

Furthermore you -
  • Are highly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint, while experience from BI systems is a plus
  • Are a strong team player with the ability to engage with and influence, guide and challenge multiple stakeholders
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong integrity and collaboration mindset that goes well with people at all levels in a global organization. Also proven ability to influence without authority and engage confidently with leaders at all levels.
  • Are used to and enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced and changing environment dealing with a lot of different tasks at the same time
  • Are result driven and have a strong logical and analytical capacity
  • Are a self-starter with a strong driving force, striving for continuous improvement, be able to see opportunities and wanting to solve problems even if finding answers are not easy and invite yourself to the table
