Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Cost Accountant in a manufacturing environment, with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers.
- Proficiency in cost accounting principles, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation methods.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Cost Analysis: Analyze manufacturing costs including raw materials, labor, overhead, and other expenses to ensure accuracy and efficiency in cost allocation.
- Cost Control: Implement and maintain cost control measures to minimize waste, reduce expenses, and maximize profitability.
Inventory Management: Monitor and reconcile inventory levels, conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Product Costing: Calculate and update standard costs for manufactured products, considering factors such as material costs, labor expenses, and overhead allocation.
- Variance Analysis: Investigate and analyze variances between standard costs and actual costs, identifying the root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of manufacturing budgets and forecasts, providing insights into cost trends and potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial reports related to manufacturing costs, presenting findings to management and stakeholders as needed.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs throughout the manufacturing operations.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls related to manufacturing cost accounting.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and projects as assigned, supporting management in decision-making and strategic planning.
