Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual for a Permanent Controller position in our established distribution company. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and forecasting. Experience with Epicor or similar ERP is a distinct advantage. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position. The controller will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's financial operations, including inventory accounting, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to the company's leadership.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, and development of internal control policies and procedures.
2. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
3. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
4. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
5. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
6. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
7. Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
8. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
9. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
10. Additional controller duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

1. 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience with a solid understanding of the Engineering industry.
2. Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
3. CPA or CMA preferred.
4. Proven working experience as a Financial controller.
5. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
6. Experience with creating financial statements.
7. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
8. Experience with Epicor or Epicor Kinetic ERP is a plus.
9. Proven ability to manage and oversee inventory accounting.
10. Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
11. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
12. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects.
13. Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
