We are on the hunt for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Assistant Controller to join our dynamic finance team. This position plays a crucial role in managing the financial health of our organization. You will be working closely with the Controller to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient operations. This role demands a high level of proficiency in financial management and system implementation, and an ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Assistant Controller, you will be expected to perform the following duties:

1. Assist the Controller in managing all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and support month-end and year-end close process.
3. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
4. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
5. Ensure the quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
6. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
7. Coordinate with the IT team to manage financial systems and to ensure that they are consistently up-to-date and accurate.
8. Participate in the development of strategic financial objectives, budgets, and forecasts.
9. Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.
10. Aid in the design and preparation of budgets for review by management.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Assistant Controller position, you must possess the following:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management practices.
3. Experience with financial reporting requirements.
4. Proven experience in system implementation and management.
5. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
6. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP).
7. An analytical mind with a strategic ability and problem-solving aptitude.
8. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
9. Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
10. A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
11. Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
