Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a growing Addiction Recovery Center seeking a hands on Controller. This is a great opportunity for someone who is mission-oriented, especially around addiction and recovery. You will have a direct impact on the betterment of these individuals' lives.

Highlights of the Accounting Manager opportunity:
  • The Company: Founded in 2016, our client is a for profit company with a nonprofit mission. They specialize in addiction recovery and sober housing.
  • The Services: Their addiction treatment programs include Detox, Extensive Outpatient, Outpatient, and Intervention.
  • The Growth: They have grown year over year since inception and are continuing to add programs.
  • The Position: Reporting to the Founder, the Controller will own all day-to-day accounting and reporting. The vision for the near future is for this position to add financial analysis and reporting processes to help the founders make informed decisions.

The Controller's Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Maintain accurate financial records, develop accounting systems, reconcile accounts, prepare financial reports, ensure compliance with legal requirements, and collaborate with team members to achieve objectives.
  • Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; and reconciling entries.
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; and advising management on needed actions.
  • Preparing and submitting billing data and medical claims to insurance companies
  • Ensuring each patient's medical information is accurate and up to date.
  • Preparing bills and invoices and document amounts due to medical procedures and services.

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or experience equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role
  • Must be comfortable as an individual contributor
