Job Details

Summary of the role:
As the Controller, you will play a pivotal role, collaborating closely with the management team, supply chain, operations, and key stakeholders as well as overseeing accounting staff. Your will be focused on developing and enhancing reporting systems, analytics, policies, and procedures. You will assume accountability for the financial aspects, taking charge of orchestrating the preparation of intricate financial analyses, crafting comprehensive financial plans and policies, and ensuring unwavering compliance through the implementation of robust internal controls. This role entails exercising leadership and management oversight across diverse domains, including general accounting, property accounting, internal auditing, and cost accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead and orchestrate a meticulous and efficient month-end and year-end close process, ensuring precision and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Take charge of the comprehensive management and formulation of periodic financial statements, forecasts, and annual budgets, leveraging analytical insights to optimize fiscal planning.
  • Conduct a thorough analysis of financial results, meticulously identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategic enhancements to drive financial performance.
  • Exercise authoritative oversight over Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), Fixed Asset Records, Costing, and Inventory accounting operations, ensuring seamless and efficient financial processes.
  • Coordinate and execute the annual audit process with precision, collaborating cross-functionally to guarantee the thorough examination and validation of financial records.
  • Proactively nurture and sustain relationships with senior executives, providing valuable financial counsel to inform strategic decision-making and aligning financial goals with overall business objectives.
  • Institute and rigorously enforce a robust system of internal controls, safeguarding the accuracy and integrity of accounting practices while ensuring the proper protection of the company's assets.
  • Steer compliance efforts, meticulously managing adherence to local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, ensuring the company operates within legal frameworks and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, economics, or related fields.
  • CPA License is required.
  • MBA preferred.
  • At least seven years of manufacturing experience
  • Strong ERP experience
  • Leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Top-notch oral, written, and communication skills.
