Brief about the Role:

As [24]7 continues to grow its operations worldwide, organically and through acquisitions, our goal is to appoint a solid finance resource to take care of India geo GL Accounting, Provision of Expenses Review and Accounting and preparation of flux/variance analysis.

The role is based out of Bengaluru and will help drive global finance practices and will be part of the General Ledger function (accounting).

The successful team member will drive superior decision-making across [24]7 by applying analytical and data synthesis skills to deliver key business insights to internal customers. Strong cross-functional communication will be required to facilitate the success of that decision-making across all operational areas of [24]7.

Expected Qualifications:
  • With CA / ICWA / CFA / MBA Finance / CA/CWA - Inter,, with other related professional qualifications

Experience required:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience with significant focus in multi-national, global companies as well as India accounting and general ledger experience (Core Finance Roles)

Required Skills

This role requires a strong knowledge of General Ledger accounting (IND - GL) and accounting of accruals as per IND AS, to account payroll entries in IND geo and good business acumen, and the ability to effectively communicate the recommendations that result from rigorous quantitative and financial analyses. Other requirements include the following:
  • 5 - 7 years' experience in highly quantitative financial roles (Core Finance) with a demonstrated growth progression
  • Previous work experience in Accounting of transactions, accruals, preparation of flux analysis
  • Self-starter with the ability to successfully build strong partner relationships as a trusted reviewer/supervisor at multiple levels.
  • Impeccable communication skills (verbal & written) is a must
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-up skills and ability to multitask.
  • Attention to detail and strong follow-through
  • Advanced/expert technical skills in some or all the following: Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.,
  • Tech Savviness and experience in working or interfacing with ERP (NetSuite preferably) and SaaS tools will be an added advantage.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Accounting of general expenses, vendor provisions, and allocations to be set and run
  • Co-ordination with all the department heads/ POCs to receive the provisions for the services and bills not received
  • Passing the journal entries in GL
  • Passing IND AS 116 lease accounting entries and also adhering to the checklist for the new leases for IND region
  • Allocations:

a) Facility, Building & Maintenance cost allocations

b) Salary cost and R&D allocations
  • Preparation of Flux variance analysis - M/M - Q/Q - Y/Y
  • Responsible for verifying the expenses accounting for the period
  • Performing the analysis for natural accounts, program/cost centers
  • Identifying the re-classes and posting to correct GL's
  • Preparing flux variance reports for M/M, Q/Q & Y/Y.
  • Variance analysis performed between Natural accounts and Cost centers
  • Re-classes entries & posting during the month.

Statutory payments & compliances
  • Responsible for accounting of all statutory expenses for the accounting period.
  • Ensuring the compliance reports are reconciled with GL before the payment remittances.
  • Ensure timely deposit of PF, ESI, TDS, PT & LWF dues on or before there due dates.

Monthly B/S Schedules and review
  • Ensure that team prepares the balance sheet schedules for India GEO for all the GL Codes, and reviewed on monthly basis.

Statutory Audit, Internal Audit, and Internal Controls.
  • Providing the balance sheet & PL schedules to auditors in specified timelines
  • Follow-up and co-ordination with various departments on audit requirements (Payroll, Compliance, IT etc.).
  • Preparation and sending the Vacation/Leave and Gratuity data to consultant for the actuarial valuation for Year-end.
  • Closing audit findings & resolving queries with auditors
  • Performing ICOFR testing for payroll related TOCs
  • Ensuring timely closure of audit.
  • Working with external vendor on ICFR and certification work
  • Preparation of quarterly & yearly Financial Statements as per IND AS
  • Passing IND AS adjustment entries
  • Advance tax workings and timely payments.
  • Valuation of benefits : Gratuity & Vacation liabilities for employees.

ERP Implementation
  • Effectively participating in NS walkthrough session
  • Focus on optimization of legacy issues
  • Interaction with NS team and Internal core teams on - on going implementation bottle-necks.
  • Ensuring in redefining the required process in NS - Reports, and allocations etc.

Vendor accruals revamp
  • Ensuring 100% revamp of vendor accrual process
  • PO or Agreement back-up for all the accruals received from POCs
  • To ensure correctness and timely accounting of expenses for the period
