Hybrid Working

Onsite role:

Colleagues who perform 'onsite' roles will spend four or five days a week working onsite, depending on the requirements of their role and business area. This role is responsible for regulatory reporting of financial information to the RBI for the bank branch in India. This role requires an individual to correctly interpret regulatory guidelines and ensure that Barclays India branches are compliant with all guidelines when reporting financial information to the regulator. This role also requires appropriate oversight on the team managing the reporting to ensure all submissions are managed on a timely basis. In addition this role would require face off with the regulator as and when queries are raised or inspection is conducted

What will you be doing?

This role requires the person to be aware of RBI regulations requiring reporting from Finance end. In depth knowledge of application of RBI circulars and interpretation from Local GAAP requirement.

This role requires an individual to ensure timely submission of returns to internal as well external stakeholder (majorly RBI) and ensure that Barclays India branches are compliant with guidelines when reporting financial information to the regulator. Major list of regulatory returns includes:
  • Liquidity Returns
  • Large Exposure Framework
  • Form-A, CRR-SLR, Form-VIII
  • DSB returns
  • RBS data points

Automation of the regulatory reports. The role requires to understand the regulations and prepare their logics to be provided to Tech and PIO teams for development.

Testing of automation is required to ensure correct output is achieved.

Good communication skills and analytical skills.

Preparation of Business Requirement Document to incorporate all logics.

Key Accountabilities
  • Understanding of regulations and timely & accurate Regulatory reporting
  • Applying logics to the returns and preparation of Business Requirement Document
  • Testing of returns

    • Qualified Chartered Accountant with experience of regulatory reporting
    • To be well versed with the RBI circulars
    • Strong control mindset
    • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and understanding their requirements for effective execution
    • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communicator. Desire to provide top quality service to internal stakeholders from different areas of the firm /geographies
