Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the overall financial management of the company including budgeting, forecasting, auditing, and internal control systems.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Coordinate and lead the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to senior executive leadership team.
  • Interact with other department managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
  • Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations.
  • Manage any third parties to which financial functions have been outsourced.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Advise on long-term business and financial planning.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required. An MBA, CPA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
  • Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
  • Experience in a technology company is a plus.
  • Experience with month-end processes is a must.
