We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Cost Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to utilize their knowledge and expertise in cost accounting to drive financial efficiency and contribute to our company's growth. The role involves conducting cost analysis, developing and maintaining cost accounting systems, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and collaborating with various teams to provide financial insights. The ideal candidate will also assist in budget and forecast preparation, ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations, and support payroll processes related to cost allocation.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform cost analysis on various aspects of the business and provide recommendations for cost management and improvement.
2. Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems, policies, and procedures that align with the company's objectives.
3. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.
4. Conduct variance analysis to identify areas of improvement or concern, and recommend corrective actions.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, understand business operations, and provide financial insights.
6. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and compare forecasted results with actual results for variance analysis.
7. Ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations to maintain financial integrity.
8. Perform technical accounting research as needed to resolve complex business issues.
9. Support payroll processes related to cost allocation, ensuring accurate and timely processing.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or a professional certification such as CMA or CPA is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the manufacturing or food processing industry.
3. Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, GAAP, and SOX regulations.
4. Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced skills in Excel.
5. Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
7. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
8. Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
9. Continuous learner who stays updated on new accounting procedures and related technology.
