Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our team. This role will oversee all financial operations of our company, including financial planning and budget management functions, and will be responsible for the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a focus on technology or business services, and a deep understanding of federal and state tax financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all financial operations of the company, including the development of financial strategies, metrics, and control systems.
2. Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
3. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
4. Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
5. Prepare and present financial reports to the senior management team, including forecasts, budgets, and financial statements.
6. Collaborate with the senior management team to establish financial and operational goals and strategies.
7. Manage company cash flow and forecasting, and coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns.
8. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
9. Oversee the accounting software and systems, ensuring accurate data and reliable performance.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor in Accounting, Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years of proven experience leading an accounting team, preferably in the technology or business services industry.
3. Experience working in a Private Equity backed organization.
4. Excellent management and team development skills.
5. Experience with Microsoft Office applications and NetSuite preferred.
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team and work collaboratively with other departments.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and ensuring quality work.
9. Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and performance through the implementation of effective financial strategies and controls.
