We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to make a significant impact on the strategic direction of our organization. The CFO will provide leadership and coordination of company financial planning, debt financing, and budget management functions. The ideal candidate will ensure the company's accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and manage the organization's financial strategy, including long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the strategic plan.
2. Oversee, direct, and organize the work of the finance and operations teams, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
3. Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team.
4. Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting.
5. Advise on long-term business and financial planning.
6. Establish and manage financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation.
7. Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
8. Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization.
9. Review and approve preparation and finalization of monthly and annual financial reporting materials and metrics for the board of directors.
10. Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.
11. Manage cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism.
12. Represent the company to banks, financial partners, institutions, investors, public auditors, and officials.
13. Remain up-to-date on nonprofit audit best practices and state and federal law regarding nonprofit operations.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a proven track record of success.
2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CPA, CMA, or other related certification is a plus.
3. Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
4. Experience in a senior financial-management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative financial management strategies.
5. Deep knowledge and understanding of the financial planning, strategy, and execution.
6. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
7. Proficient in using MS Office Suite and financial management software.
8. Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
11. Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence - ability to motivate staff.
12. Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
13. Significant experience with budget management, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
14. Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities, proposing new ways of creating efficiencies, and guiding investment in people and systems.
