How will you make an impact?
The Director of Finance, APJ is a key leadership role responsible for the Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry and Services operations for the Asia Pacific & Japan region. This role will partner with the business teams to formulate business strategies and execution plans, provide financial advice on key business decisions and support initiatives to drive growth and profitability.
What will you do?
- Business partner the leadership team to formulate business strategies, define goals and drive operational execution.
- Lead the annual operating plan, business reviews, forecasting and planning process.
- Define operating metrics and measure performance to the established metrics.
- Provide financial oversight and drive sound business decisions to support growth, operational efficiency and improve profitability.
- Provide timely, accurate and meaningful insights about the business; be able to "tell the story" on what's going on in the business
- Identify key risks and opportunities; work with Global, Regional and Country leaders to drive upsides and risk mitigation.
- Drive price realization, profitability and working capital improvement.
- Ensure accuracy in financial reporting and disclosures, compliance with US GAAP and SOX requirements.
- Drive process improvements and operational excellence for the Region.
- Collaborates with Country Shared Service teams to ensure good control environment and culture to limit business risk and exposures.
- Lead and develop team members, facilitate active engagement and networking of the finance talents.
How will you get here?
- Qualified Chartered Accountant
- 20 years financial post graduate experience, in a Regional business-focused role within a large, multinational matrixed organization
- Strong analytical skills with attention to details, ability to step back and analyze the overall business impact.
- Work cross-functionally and influence across a global organization.
- Outstanding leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates based in Bangalore or Mumbai city preferred
- Flexibility, able to travel
