Purpose of the Job

To ensure seamless flow of financial data from production accounting system to Financial books.

Job Responsibilities:

Operations
  • Ensure proper cost controlling and review mechanism (Control costs commitments with key stake holders viz Manufacturing, SCM & Indus teams)
  • Operational Control on factory related topics viz. Factory Efficiency, inventory control, production accounting system( AOS/ALISTA) etc.
  • Review and challenge operations on improving the Factory efficiency and cost reduction targets set.
  • Ensure proper accounting and closure of Service orders, depreciation allocation, general services allocation etc...
  • Lead CFT team to ensure control in industrial and manufacturing/maintenance environment at factory.
  • Identifies new areas of improvement at factory to reduce operation cost.
  • Collaborates with CFT to ensure accuracy of the production accounting system, Fixed asset at factory.
  • Establishes controls on rate variances and quantity variances, to ensure proper charge to projects.

Ensures physical Inventory and financial inventory tally's, monitors the results of the perpetual inventory.

Controlling
  • Leads CFT to ensure proper Material master are maintained and cross validates, to ensure proper valuation of inventory and recharge to projects via Production order
  • Lead monthly Work Package Reviews and Half yearly FPR reviews.
  • Lead the Group and Statutory audit / Limited Review process relating to the Unit.
  • Strengthen the controls on Inventory (Material master controls, Obso reserve, stock count, Physical verification).
  • Drive Working Capital improvements (Inventory optimization, lead time reductions/takt).
  • Set up operational rhythms with cross functional teams at Sites & manage along with function head on presenting Site performance for factory.
  • Focus on improving / implementing Alstom production accounting system effectively including consumption accounting, Work order closure in SAP.
  • Focus on monitoring & controlling factory cost and presenting under over recovery in synthetic way.

Ensuring revenue recognition in accordance with internal control / IFRS guidelines.

Management Reviews
  • Involve & drive budget exercise for the Site along with function heads (Operations, expansion, CAPEX expansions, etc.)
  • Manages team for INSPIRE, Material master review etc.

Monthly reviews with site team on operational performance, KPI's, dashboards, tax compliance, Actuals Vs Budgets monitoring, etc.

You are expected to play an active role to support the various Operations teams: pro-active, flexible, innovative, close to your Business needs. The specific responsibilities of the role include
  • Monthly Work Package reviews with explanation of variance with Budgets/Forecasts.
  • Half yearly FPR reviews and drive savings initiative with CFT team
  • To identify & setup comprehensive controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of financial reporting includes SFTR for Cost estimates + revenue.

Action Plan Monitoring & Controlling
  • As part of Monthly reviews, drive the action plans to achieve the monthly targets. You will have to work with different functions to review the progress and drive Ops KPI's
  • Internal controls & Compliance
  • Ensure IC is properly implemented in areas of finance, Inventory management, cycle count, production etc.

Requirements:
  • CA/ICWA with 5/7+ years of experience or with good commercial knowledge and business acumen from a reputed Company
  • Strong experience in large factories & SAP knowledge is critical
  • Autonomous, proactive, deadline driven
  • Flexible & Able to push innovative ideas
