As a Financial Controller - Analyst within our Finance team, you will be instrumental in defining, refining, and achieving our firm's financial goals. Your strategic thinking and passion for financial control will promote solutions and ensure the integrity of our books and records.

The Firmwide Financial Control(FFC) team is accountable for the integrity of the books and records of the Firm / LOBs and leading large-scale data, infrastructure, accounting standard and business process change management events. The regional locations covered by FAIR include EMEA (Europe/Middle East/Africa), North America and Asia.

Data Management Controllers (DMC) are responsible for monitoring risk data processing from upstream sources and distribution to Consumers (Finance, Risk, Capital, Treasury) is of proper quality via data attendance adherence, data quality (through attribute validations), period-over-period anomaly reviews, appropriate adjustments and "real-time" data availability communication.Data Management Controllers work in conjunction with Asset Class Controllers (ACC) providing authoritative datasets to consumers. Feedback loops across teams and consumers allow for constant data refinement increasing the quality and authoritativeness of base data.

LRI/CRI/FRI is a firm-wide, 'mission critical' initiative to enhance the Firms liquidity/Credit risk management, monitoring and reporting capabilities. The program involves a redesign of the supporting technology and infrastructure and will result in the implementation of a world class liquidity/Credit risk reporting system complying with recently mandated Federal and Basel regulations. The program encompasses strategic data sourcing and enrichment, liquidity/credit/Finance risk analytics and metric calculations and monitoring and reporting capabilities

Job Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze the data quality of the LRI/CRI/FRI data store. Analyst will be responsible for reviewing the timeliness, completeness and accuracy of the feeds with other operational and technology partners and participates in investigating any issues.
  • Support the daily /month-end reconciliation/ adjustment process between the data received into FRW/CFW/DAC and the Corporate General Ledger. The Analyst will need to coordinate with our technology partners in understanding the issue as well as discuss enhancements with downstream consumers and other Operations Teams. Perform various control procedures to ensure the integrity of reported financial results
  • Analyze large volume of data and perform data analytics.
  • Monitor metrics that accurately represent the timeliness, accuracy and completeness of the flow of data from the source platform to the LRI/ Data Acquisition and Control environment and facilitate the timely understanding, management and resolution of data quality issues and process exceptions.
  • Escalate issues to management or in other lines of business when progress is not being made or barriers are put forth.
  • Focus on the continuous improvements / enhancements and innovations to fix the data quality issues / manual work around

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Aptitude for learning and leveraging systems and data flows
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving skills, negotiation and analytical skills
  • Able to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities
  • Requires very good written and spoken communication in order to approach various Risk reporting teams, Operations, technology and Operate teams and to maintain a level of client partnership

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
  • Bachelor's degree required, CMA/MBA (Finance) an advantage
  • Knowledge of Alteryx/AI solutions will be an added advantage
  • Basic experience with a financial consolidation and reporting system (i.e. SAP interface)
