Summary of the position

This individual will be responsible for driving commercial analysis and control around pricing, mix, volume and selling expenses including forecast process with monthly/quarterly updates and annual/strategic plans.

Maintaining Consolidated updated & error free books of accounts as per accepted accounting principles with complete ownership of the Trial Balance, Business performance management, Risk & Opportunity, Management, Information management and Business Partnering, Receivable management, Statutory compliance, instituting Internal control and Internal check systems, Audits, Document management, overcall consolidation of PAN India financials, driving efficiencies and process in all regions, driving standard reports.

Role and Responsibilities

Financial Accounting:

Timey Consolidation of Books of Accounts & Document Management:
  • Monthly managerial reporting, Variance analysis v/s plan
  • Input in Monthly business review, internal review Ensure "complete, correct and updated" maintenance of books of accounts in accordance with company & generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Involvement in the budgeting process and annual plans
  • Responsible for Profit and Loss as well as working capital forecasts
  • Identifying important opportunities across the organization and driving its implementations
  • Ability to communicate analysis in a clear, succinct and persuasive manner
  • Strong technical skills/agility with a variety of systems
  • Demonstrated strong financial, operational and business acumen; strong achievement and results orientation

Receivable Management
  • Implementation of credit management policy monitor credit risk & receivable reporting in all regions (except Corporation).
  • Credit limit and doubtful debt management by customer.
  • Setting up system to eliminate teaming & lading and balance confirmation.
  • Reconciling all debtors at least once a year & twice a year for major customer.
  • System of update recording of customer claim and settling within 15 days of receiving the claim.
  • System of ensuring that no market commitment is unrecorded in books.
  • System of ROI driven margin agreement.
  • Overdue tracking and DSO management.
  • Drive Pricing Committee and Credit Committee meetings
  • Ensuring System of Creditors reconciliation at least once a year & twice a year for major Creditor along with balance confirmation for Marketing vendors and vendors who support in COS.
  • System of update recording of creditors claim and settling within 15 days of receiving the claim.
  • System of ensuring that no supplier commitment is unrecorded in books.

Propriety of expense:
  • Ensure that expenses recorded in the books of accounts are the expense incurred for the purpose of business in complying internal control policy and procedures of the company.
  • Selling expense management and control

Business performance management
  • Business performance analysis and reporting.
  • Budgeting, Latest Estimates and strategic plan for their divisions
  • Develop financial metrics to measure performance against plan and strategies.
  • Proactively provide quality insight of the financial and strategic implication of business actions/strategy to decision maker to enable them to take informed decision.

Demand Planning Process Financial Control - Pan INDIA
  • Monthly Volume Variance Analysis vs Annual Plan
  • Monthly Price Variance Analysis vs Annual Plan and price increase tracking mechanism
  • Monthly Variable Sales contribution mix analysis to identify pricing, mix and sourcing actions.
  • Annual Planning and rollup exercise to create revenue walkthrough

Qualification and Skill Set
  • CA or MBA/PGDM Finance with 3-6 years of experience in manufacturing / sales organization.
  • Preferably with Alco Bev or FMCG in industry
  • Minimum of three years prior finance experience preferably in sales finance or financial planning & analysis environment
  • Well versed with Excel and Power point.
  • Strong team player who manages collaboratively with all stakeholders
  • Strong influencing and communication skills
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Basic operational knowledge on SAP ERP will be preferred
