We are currently seeking a professional to join the GTRF Team as CA Industrial Trainee

Job Introduction

This role is in Client Services, GTRF Ahmedabad. The job holder's prime responsibility is to be the single point of contact for client for transactions, queries or any advice related to Trade. Required to liaise with the Operations staff, Business, Compliance, and other stakeholders. One of the key responsibilities is also to engage with clients having high I/EDPMS outstanding primarily records and ensure the outstanding is cleared by working closely with client, operations staff and internal stakeholders as required.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Trade is a core product for the HSBC Group across various customer segments, including GBM, CMB, and Private Banking.
  • To take overall strategic responsibility for the management and delivery of operational service for enabling the growth of the Trade business and to achieve maximum net profitability for the Bank.
  • The jobholder is responsible for smooth execution of the day-to-day activities for the GTRF Operational teams. The job requires a high degree of understanding in Trade operations in terms of technical knowledge, through understanding of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) published rules as well as GTRF FIM, Internal Controls and Group Compliance Policy including international sanctions and Financial Crime Risk etc. In delivering their responsibilities, the job holder would be expected to interface with customers, internal stakeholders and GSC Team. Job responsibilities also include monitoring of workflow management tools, facilitating optimal management of clients' transactions and prioritization with GSC Team and front-line teams to ensure delivery of a "superior" customer service in accordance with laid down rules and regulations.
  • To demonstrate a strong focus in service & business as well as client orientation and to increase productivity whilst maintaining the highest service standard. To ensure that all internal compliance and guidelines are met.

Requirements
  • Graduate, Post-Graduate, (Professional qualifications such as MBA, CA preferred)
  • 5-6 years of operations & client servicing experience.
  • Good understanding of trade finance, ICC rules, FEMA & RBI guidelines (preferably CDCS).
  • A high level of communication/coordination skill is also required as the jobholder must interact with both clients and internal departments (i.e., Client Management).
