Position Overview: As a Property Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations related to residential properties. You will be responsible for managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations for a portfolio of properties.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for multiple residential properties.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports for property owners and management.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting for properties.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Coordinate with property managers to ensure timely collection of rent and resolution of financial discrepancies.
  • Respond to inquiries from property owners, tenants, and vendors regarding financial matters.
  • Assist with year-end audit and tax preparation processes.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in property accounting, preferably in residential real estate.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and property management accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with real estate accounting principles.
