The Assistant Controller in construction oversees financial activities, ensuring accurate data and compliance. Reporting to the Controller/CFO, they handle financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, internal controls, and collaborate with teams for effective financial management.

Job Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience as a sr. accountant or assistant controller.
  • Preferred industry experience in construction, real estate, property management, etc.
What you would do on the job:
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare timely financial statements.
    • Assist in monthly/quarterly reports.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Contribute to annual budgets and forecasts.
    • Monitor and analyze budget performance.
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
    • Assist in capital investment evaluations.
  • Internal Controls:
    • Implement and maintain internal controls.
    • Ensure compliance with financial policies.
  • Audit Support:
    • Collaborate with external auditors.
    • Address audit findings.
  • Cash Management:
    • Monitor cash flow and liquidity.
    • Optimize cash management strategies.
  • Tax Compliance:
    • Assist in tax filings and ensure compliance.
    • Stay informed about tax law changes.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the accounting team.
    • Provide training and guidance.
