The Accountant is responsible for applying existing knowledge and experience in the accounting discipline to support routine assignments. They will use best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve products or services in the accounting discipline.

Job Overview:

Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Chartered Accountant with 8+ years of work experience
- Experience in working for a global organization preferably with engineering companies in the oil & gas sector
- Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems required
- Good knowledge of Tally
- Experience in transition management preferred
- Should demonstrate process improvement mindset and experience in driving process improvements
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written)
- Strong presentation skills and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point etc.)
- Demonstrate good people management skills

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for execution of Stat and Tax activities assigned to the team, including preparing statutory accounts of entities as per local/US GAAP. Activities include preparing/reconciling various schedules to the statutory accounts, calculating and accruing tax provisions and statutory reporting
- Responsible for executing month/ quarter/ year end processes and ensuring books are closed on time
- Responsible for their functional and administrative deliverables to stakeholders
- Ensure all month end activities are completed within agreed time and of the highest quality and ensure that team metrics/KPIs are met
- Support various internal and external audits relating to Statutory and Tax Accounting activities including Tax Assessments
- Provide timely and effectively communicated responses to internal and external inquiries
- Provide accurate and effective document preparation and records management relative, in accordance with records retention policies and procedures
- Any other duties as assigned by the Reporting Manage
