Cochlear, South Asia (SA) incorporates countries like India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives and Mauritius. We have a direct presence in India since 2010 and use distributors in the other countries. 90% of the current business comes from paediatric implantation. Our work is primarily directed at increasing awareness about hearing health - to make newborn hearing screening mandatory, and to improve funding for CI systems and upgrades.
Our teams work closely with surgeons, audiologists and therapists to enhance CI clinical infrastructure and access to our implantable hearing solutions. Working in South Asia presents people with a great opportunity to impact the lives of others.
The role: The Finance Controller for South Asia is the subject matter expert and responsible for all governance, accounting and ensuring effective and efficient policies and procedures. The role will ensure Cochlear South Asia runs its complete operations in compliance with the varied and complex laws of India, India GAAP and sound governance principles, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance and commercial operations.

- Timely and accurate accounting, Financial Statement Management and Financial Reporting
- Manage statutory and compliance obligations
- Business partnering
- Process Improvement
- Working Capital Management
Candidate requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 7-8 years of post-qualification experience in independent Financial Accounting in a Multinational Organization in India
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated management experience of a Finance team
- Right balance between processes and people
- Proven ability in trouble shooting and problem solving
- Strong compliance and conformance with policies
- Proactive stakeholder management ability
- Hands-on experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning software (ERP)
