Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Legal & Accounts Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing legal and accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting the financial health of the organization.Key Responsibilities:
  • Legal Compliance:
    • Review and interpret legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
    • Assist in drafting and negotiating contracts and legal documents.
    • Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
    • Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the business.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets.
    • Conduct variance analysis and identify trends to support decision-making.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data and records.
    • Assist in the development of financial policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and controls.
  • Tax Compliance:
    • Assist in tax planning and preparation of tax returns.
    • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
    • Respond to tax inquiries and audits.
    • Identify tax-saving opportunities and strategies.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential legal and financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor and manage legal and financial exposure.
    • Recommend appropriate insurance coverage and risk management solutions.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Liaise with external legal counsel, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
    • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to address legal and financial issues.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
    • Trade licenses, Office registrations and legal agreements.
    • Working with lawyers on resolving and attending legal matters and issues related to Customer or consumer complaints in courts
    Qualifications and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. (Advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA, CMA,BBA, BCom & LLB preferred)
    • Proven experience of at least 8 years in legal and accounting roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax laws.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to communicate complex legal and financial concepts effectively.
    • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
